Tonight we are eating hot dogs and yes that can be healthy too!
After all, it comes with a hearty serving of sauerkraut.
Sauerkraut came to Europe around the 18th century via the many boat trips to the Far East. It was a perfectly tenable food that was full of vitamin C.
It was used to fight scurvy.
In addition to a solid dose of vitamin C, it also contains a lot of Sodium, vitamin K, vitamin B6, Manganese, folic acid, copper and potassium.
A very good supplement for the winter.
Besides being very nutritious, sauerkraut has other positive effects on our body such as: – improves digestion
- boosts your immune system
- can help you lose weight
- helps reduce stress
- can help prevent cancer
- promotes heart health
- strengthens bones
In short, plenty of reasons to add sauerkraut to your weekly nutritional needs.
