The collective term “injectables” includes treatments with products that are inserted into the skin with a needle, such as fillers and temporary muscle relaxants. Injectables are used primarily as a treatment to remove wrinkles (frown lines, forehead wrinkles, wrinkles near the nose, crow’s feet) or to fill in lips. It is also suitable for counteracting excessive sweating, a gummy smile (visible gums when smiling) or for migraines.
Botox is a brand name for Botulinum Toxin. Botulin Toxin is a protein produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. Its action is simple, natural and safe. Botulinum Toxin makes sure that muscles and sweat glands can’t be controlled by nerves temporarily, the transmission of signals is blocked. This causes the functioning of the muscles and sweat glands to decrease or come to a complete stop. After a few months, the transmission of signals fully recovers.
